Nicole Richie is expecting a baby boy. The pregnant reality TV star and her partner, rocker Joel Madden – who already have 16-month-old daughter Harlow together – have been spotted buying blue toys and accessories for their new baby, which is due in August. A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: “Joel [from US band Good Charlotte] bought water-based paint for the nursery and - surprise, surprise - it’s blue! Plus, Nicole recently ordered some plush animals and infant toys, and everything just happens to be blue.” Nicole (27) has also been referring to her unborn baby as “he”.

Nicole Richie, pregnant with her second child with boyfriend Joel Madden, was spotted leaving her doctor’s office last week and her baby bump is really showing!  I love Nicole’s dress - she always looks adorable when she’s preggo.

Joel and Nicole have a daughter, Harlow, who celebrated her first birthday in January – and if you are thinking about it, the two are in no rush on getting married!

Nicole Richie has unveiled her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line at the famous boutique, Kitson. The accessories collection was named in honor of Nicole’s daughter with Joel Madden, and was co-designed by jeweler Pascal Mouawad. The collection has 35 pieces and were made with leather, chains, gold-plated metal, crystals and peacock feathers. House Of Harlow aims at girls in their teens to women in their 30s who admire her and the prices range from $30 to $15.

According to recent news, Nicole Richie’s 2005 coming-of-age novel The Truth About Diamonds is being developed into television series. Although the novel is based on her own life, Nicole says she will serve as an executive producer once the project reaches the small screen. The Truth About Diamonds chronicles “the adventures of spoiled socialite Chloe Parker, the adopted daughter of a rock musician, through her ill-fated relationships with booze, drugs, and the Hollywood party scene”.

People at NBC have announced to People magazine that the former Simple Life star Nicole Richie will have a guest role on the sitcom Chuck. Executive producer Josh Schwart tells press that “Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny. This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It’s going to be really fun.”

Richie will play a snarky and spiteful girl who tortured actress Yvonne Strahovski’s character in high school. In the episode, airing sometime this fall, Strahovski’s character, Special Agent Sarah Walker, must face her fears when she is forced to attend her 10-year high school reunion, for a mission with costar Zachary Levi (Chuck) as her date.
