Christina Aguilera has gone from full-on sex symbol to full-time mother.

Indeed, the former Dirrty singer has taken a break from recording albums to spend time with son Max. Gotta respect her for that.

But Aguilera is ready to get back in the spotlight; not on stage, but on screen. According to Variety, she’ll make her big screen debut in Burlesque, a contemporary musical partly penned by Erin Brockovich writer Susannah Grant.

The role won’t exactly be a stretch for Christina: she’ll portray an ambitious smalltown girl with a big voice, one that finds success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club.

The outfits Aguilera will likely don on film should remind fans of the days when the word “dirty,” applied to Aguilera, didn’t refer to diapers.

Christmas time, is shopping time a reason more for celebrities to promote their fragrances; this time Christina Aguilera unveiled her new fragrance last night at Macy’s at the Glendale Galleria in Los Angeles. Christina’s new scent, “Inspire” is reportedly “a mix of fruity scents, including mango, citrus, and freesia, along with a floral array including tuberose, gardenia, rose, and sandalwood.” The perfume Inspire is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml edp, with an accompanying collection for body care: 200 ml perfumed body milk and 200 ml bath.

The 2009 Grammy Award nominations were unveiled during a live concert featuring celebrities like Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera on Wednesday night, December 3. In the video above the vocal sensation Christina Aguilera payed a tribute to singer Nina Simone, performed “I Love You Porgy” at “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night” in Los Angeles.

Christina Aguilera took the stage at the Nokia Theatre opening the awards show with a rocking performance.
