After appearing together at Monday’s arraignment for Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s family issued a series of statements decrying the doctor’s not-guilty plea to the charge of involuntary manslaughter.
“He’s lying. He’s guilty. Nobody was there but him,” Jackson’s mother, Katherine, told the assembled media while leaving court. “He’s just trying to save his own behind. … He killed him. He wasn’t monitoring him.”

Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are suing Britain’s News of the World tabloid over allegations it published about their relationship, their London lawyers said on Monday.
In a story published on January 24, the weekly newspaper reported that the couple planned to separate imminently and had agreed on how they would divide their assets and custody of their children.
Pitt, 46, and Jolie, 34, have six children and joint assets estimated by the News of the World at 205 million pounds ($319 million).

Even though he said he was “heartbroken” to see her leave, Pavelka, 32, told her he couldn’t “guarantee” he would give her the final rose, so she packed up. (The finale airs Monday, March 1 on ABC. He will choose between the three remaining contestants: Vienna Girardi, Tenley Molzahn and Gia Allemand.)

Twentieth Century Fox’s film and TV studios are cooking up a plan to bring hit TV series 24 to the big-screen.
Variety reports the film studio has hired Billy Ray to pen the script for the feature version, which would put Jack Bauer on European time.
The script is said to have come through 24 star Kiefer Sutherland, who is reportedly eager to turn the long-running TV show into a feature franchise.

Right after the Super Bowl, Angelina Jolie zipped down to Haiti as part of her UN goodwill ambassador job. On Monday she visited hospitalized Haitian survivors in the Dominican Republic. She also met with Dominican President Leonel Fernandez. She’s expected to travel to Haiti today.
