Mel’s frightening rampage wasn’t the kind of childish tantrum the babysitter was used to.
The unnamed babysitter was an eye-witness to actor Mel Gibson’s now-infamous unraveling, even before his ex-lover Osksana Grigorieva secretly taped his racist and profanity-laced tirade, TMZ is reporting.
Sources told the gossip website that just hours before the Jan. 6 brawl, Grigorieva left the Braveheart star’s Malibu home to see a basketball game, leaving their infant daughter Lucia with her babysitter.
Shortly afterwards, Gibson flipped out, “slamming doors, cussing and screaming at someone on the phone,” said sources involved in the case. The caretaker said Mel yelled into the phone, “I want to f**king destroy you.”
The sitter then called Grigorieva and suggested that she return because Gibson was out of control, according to TMZ.
The babysitter was there when Grigorieva came back to the house but left before anything physical happened.
When Grigorieva, 40, returned, she has told investigators Gibson, 54, exploded in rage and punched her more than once as she held Lucia.
While some are suspicious about the babysitter’s claims because she did not come out with any allegations earlier, sources close to the woman told TMZ that she was initially scared of the actor and is weakened from chemo treatments in her battle with cancer.
