Mark Wahlberg is better known for his tough guy roles, so taking on a comedic role was a gamble he has admitted.
‘I’ve been dying to do a comedy for a long time. There have been comedic elements in performances I’ve done in the past, but to take on a full-blown comedy coming from a dramatic background, it’s a risky move,’ the 39 year-old explained.
‘If it’s not good, they’ll crucify you and you’ll obviously never get the chance to do it again.’
The Departed star teams up with funny man Will Ferrell for their new buddy cop flick The Other Guys.
Speaking to Parade, the actor raved about working with their other co-star, Eva Mendes.
‘I think she’s an amazing actress. She’s so cool and so fun to be around on the set. There’s no baggage there, there’s no diva attitude.’
