Production continued on the Maui, Hawaii set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Monday. Leading man Johnny Depp, reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney’s billion-dollar movie franchise, was seen gulping down Gatorade while chatting with other actors and crew. Also seen during the busy day of filming included his co-stars, Penelope Cruz (Angelica) and Geoffrey Rush (Barbossa). Depp surprised fans at San Diego’s Comic-Con over the weekend, with a special video appearance in which he introduced a preview clip to the highly-anticipated film.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hits theaters May 20, 2011.
