Heidi Montag’s reality TV presence just got marginally deflated.
The surgery-loving star’s best friend, Jennifer Bunney,has revealed that Montag will no longer be taking part in her new reality series.
“Originally I was supposed to do a reality show with Heidi, but right now it looks like some things have changed,” she wrote on her blog, before telling RadarOnline.com that she heard the news “through other people.”
According to Bunney, Montag is “just going through so much with her divorce and she just doesn’t want to do reality television.”
She denied that the duo is in a fight or that Montag dropped her “to do reality shows with
the twins.”
The 24-year-old has reportedly been shopping around a new reality series, “The Heidi Show,” with two of Hugh Hefner’s ex’s, twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon (who also starred on “The Girls Next Door”).
Though from her Twitter, Montag appears to be focusing on her music career.
“wow I wrote 13 songs today!!!!” the former “Hills” star tweeted on Sunday, after revealing, “I am writing all my songs from now on.”
Despite Montag’s departure, Bunney says her show is still on is set to air in January, though she is reportedly still finalizing contracts.
“I was actually surprised that this happened, considering my name is not one that has been plastered across every tabloid the past few years, but I am super excited,” Bunney wrote on her blog. “I suppose the buzz from the original show with Heidi garnered enough interest and publicity and enough about me as an individual that several networks are interested in still pursuing it despite Heidi’s absence. So that’s the news for now!”
According to RadarOnline.com, the reality series was originally set to document Bunney and Montag living together over the summer. Now the show will reportedly focus on Bunney’s return to school and her break-up with her boyfriend.
“I’m hoping that once the show is rolling and a few episodes air, she’ll join in,” Bunney told RadarOnline.com of her best friend. “I really want her to do it but I don’t want to push her into something she doesn’t want to do.”
