Alexis Neiers, of the E! Entertainment reality show about the Hollywood social scene, Pretty Wild, was set free from the L.A. County Jail Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Friday night. She had served 30 days of a 180-day sentence – or, as her publicist put it in a press release about her jail release, approximately 20 percent of her six-month jail term.
Neiers, 19, was placed behind bars in early May after she pleaded no contest to felony burglary. She had been arrested last October in connection with a break-in at the Southern California home of Orlando Bloom.
While incarcerated, Neiers, the daughter of former Playboy Playmate Andrea Arlington, inhabited cell No. 29, the same location Paris Hilton spent her jail term in 2007 and the cell directly adjacent to the one that at one point had been occupied by Lindsay Lohan.
Upon her release, Neiers – who has been ordered to pay restitution to Bloom, who at the moment is on his honeymoon – issued a statement. It said, in part: “I’ve had time to reflect on my life and the choices that led me to this experience, left alone in my cell 23 hours a day and having everything stripped away but the bare essentials. I did a lot of soul searching. I feel very humbled and see my life in a way that I have come to be very grateful for and I am also grateful to everyone who has helped and supported me through this.”
She added: “I am committed to talking to teens and encouraging them to become goal oriented and participate in positive activities that give back to their world.”
Her mother, Andrea Arlington, tells PEOPLE: “We are absolutely thrilled and so grateful for Alexis’s freedom. We are anxious for the start of a great new future for her. The first thing she wanted when she was out? Real people food. She’s craving salmon and mashed potatoes. We can’t wait to go out to eat!”
