Lindsay Lohan is accusing the realit show, Bravo’s ‘Double Exposure,’ for setting her up to make her look late.
Last night’s episode of ‘Double Exposure,’ which focuses on the life of high-status fashion and celebrity photographers
, revealed she was extremely late for a photo shoot done last September.
Cooked up story
Lohan tweeted Tuesday to deny she was behind schedule and said that it was a ploy employed by the producers of the show who gave her a wrong appointment.
“This couldn’t be more untrue. Sucks when ‘friends’ use you (in this case for ratings) even if they’re lying,” Lohan wrote.
“As for BRAVO and their false representation of me on their new show; I was given the wrong call time-now I know on purpose…it was a set-up,” she tweeted.
“I don’t appreciate being used for press, and I’m sure others would agree! Love to everyone,” read the tweet.
WWD reported, “The call time for the shoot at the Miraval Living condos in New York was 10 a.m. but Lohan didn’t show up until around 8 p.m.”
However, sources familiar with the matter reveal that it is the 23-year-old actress who is to be blamed for her tardiness.
“She was 10 hours late. The show has actually been nice to her and only has her being eight hours late,” says the anonymous source.
Officials at ‘Double Exposure’ claim that Lohan was expected at the shoot for 10 a.m., but arrived late because “she woke up late.”
The show captures one of Lohan’s handlers apologizing for the actress’s lethargy. “That would mean her people were in on it, too,” the source said.
The proof
The episode of Double Exposure, which airs Tuesdays at 11 p.m. on Bravo, has been titled “Is Lindsay Here Yet?”
Markus Klinko and Indrani are seen complaining as they wait, apparently endlessly, to photograph the celebrity for an ad campaign endorsing her 6126 leggings line.
“It’s not cool. We end up waiting all this time just to do nothing,” rue Indrani on the show.
Donald Simrock, the make-up artist also laments and states that he doesn’t think he’s “waited this long for anybody.”
There appears to be a lot of truth in Bravo’s claims.
A fashion trade publication named Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) had, in September when the incident took place, done a story about the Lohan sluggishness.
The story referred Lohan as “the famously tardy actress.”
WWD reported, “The call time for the shoot at the Miraval Living condos in New York was 10 a.m. but Lohan didn’t show up until around 8 p.m.”
