Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon took their wedding vows for the third time in two years. In celebration of their second wedding anniversary, the couple replenished their married lives with a third marriage ceremony.

Proceedings were kept quite conventional at the couple’s Beverly Hills home. Carey, 40, wore a cleavage-baring white bridal gown and clutched a bouquet as she walked down the aisle for the third time.

Keeping it traditional for third wedding
Cannon, 29, donned an all-white suit to match his pretty wife. The America’s Got Talent host is madly in love with his wife and encourages other couples, if they are really in love, to renew their wedding vows.

“I encourage everybody to do it,” he said. “If you are happy and in love, celebrate it!”

Last month, he had told USmagazine.com about his plans to marry Mariah again. “We get married every year! That’s our thing,” Cannon had said, adding that they want to keep it “more traditional” this time. “The last two weddings we had were kind of island-driven and off in remote places. This time we’re going to do it home,” he said.

Nick Cannon’s sweet surprise
The ‘Obsessed’ singer was also treated to a sweet surprise by her loving husband. He gifted her a custom-made candy ring pop. Designed by Jason of Beverly Hills Jewelers, the white gold ring was encrusted with white diamonds and pink sapphires, according to People.

But such gestures are not new for the couple. Two years ago, when Cannon proposed his lady love, he did it with a diamond engagement ring in a Ring Pop candy wrapper.

After dating each other for just six weeks, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon got married on Apr 30, 2008 at her Bahamian estate.

Must marry every year?
“I have to do it every single year,” Cannon said about his third-time wedding. “If you were married to Mariah Carey, you’d want to marry her every year too! I just have to keep doing it to make sure it’s real.” They hope to keep renewing their wedding vows every year in future.

Saturday morning, Carey expressed her delight via twitter. “So last night’s wedding vow renewal & small party was a SG..too many cameras(from close & far!) but it was beautiful. NC is the best: ),” she wrote.

Though only last week, Carey had refuted pregnancy rumors, her husband hinted they might soon be having a baby. “In the next year or two the rumors might come true,” Cannon said.
