Crystal Bowersox becomes the first Season 9 finalist to make the American Idol airplay chart this week — but it’s not with one of her performances from the show. Toledo, Ohio, AC station 101.5 The River (WRVF-FM) has picked up Crystal’s pre-Idol song Holy Toledo, playing often enough to place it at No. 90 on the Mediabased-powered chart.
Adam Lambert’s Whataya Want From Me remains atop the chart. We Are the Fallen’s Bury Me Alive moves into the No. 40 slot on USA TODAY’s Active Rock chart, and Phil Stacey’s Some Kind of Love climbs to No. 32 at Christian AC.
Several country singles are moving up, though most still outside that format’s top 40: Bucky Covington’s A Father’s Love (The Only Way He Knew How) moves 33-30 on the Idol chart, placing at No. 41 Country, while Carrie Underwood’s Undo It jumps 49-40 (No. 42 Country) and Kellie Pickler’s Makin’ Me Fall in Love Again climbs 60-43 (No. 57 Country). Danny Gokey remains at No. 14 on the Idol chart and No. 26 Country with My Best Days Are Ahead of Me.
