Coroner’s officials have determined that Marie Osmond’s son, Michael Bryan, didn’t have any drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.
According to the autopsy report released Wednesday, Bryan, 18, died from “multiple blunt trauma” after her jumped from the eighth-floor balcony of his Los Angeles apartment building on Feb. 26.
He is described as having suffered from depression as a result of “bad school grades and a visit from a former girlfriend.”
In his suicide note, Bryan “outlined his unhappiness with his life and his intent to kill himself.”
One of his best friends, Ruthann Clawson, told authorities that he had revealed to her that he had attempted suicide three times by trying to hang himself.
Around 9 p.m. on the night of his death, Bryan had sent Clawson a text message saying that he “felt like s—t” and would be home soon. He later sent her another text saying that he left her a note on his bed.
After Clawson ran over to his apartment and found the suicide letter, Clawson heard emergency vehicle sirens approaching and saw Bryan’s body on the sidewalk.
Bryan, who was a student at L.A. Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, did a stint in rehab in 2007.
In the months leading up to his death, he legally changed his last name from Blosil to Bryan due to an estranged relationship with his father. He was one of Osmond’s eight children.
