The mistress of former presidential candidate John Edwards is to appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Harpo Productions says Rielle (ree-ELL’) Hunter will have her first television interview with Winfrey. A specific airdate for the show has not been confirmed.
Hunter made her first public comments since she became known as Edwards’ mistress in an interview with GQ magazine released last month.
She said she and Edwards remain in love and she is helping him live “a life of truth.” In January, Edwards admitted he was the father of Hunter’s daughter, now 2.
Hunter also posed for photos for the magazine that showed her on a bed, barelegged in a man’s white dress shirt and a pearl necklace.
John Edwards and wife Elizabeth Edwards are now separated.
