Oscar winner and American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson is lending her celebrity to two very different groups: Weight Watchers and The Boys & Girls Club. She went back home to Chicago yesterday to spend time with the kids at a Boys & Girls Club and to launch a special charity cup she designed that will be sold in 7-Eleven stores nationwide. She chose The Boys & Girls Club as the beneficiary of her cup since she belonged to one growing up and won her first talent show there.
Today, she also announced that she will be the new face of Weight Watchers. “I feel empowered with what I’ve learned – everything from portion control to what foods will help keep me satisfied,” she says about using the weight loss program after giving birth to son David last fall.
