Rielle Hunter tells GQ that John Edwards is ‘supportive of me talking now.’
Rielle Hunter’s revealing interview in the new issue of GQ isn’t the only thing raising concern. The baby mama of disgraced politician John Edwards is apparently not pleased with how several suggestive photographs turned out in the magazine spread.
On “The View” Monday morning, co-host Barbara Walters said she had already spoken to Hunter, who had “cried for two hours” after seeing what she called “repulsive” images.
According to Walters, Hunter, 45, said she had trusted photographer Mark Seliger to capture classy photos for the shoot.
What transpired were several racy photos, including one in which Hunter is only wearing a white collared shirt and a string of pearls while lounging on a bed.
Walters quoted her saying that she “went with the flow” during the photo shoot, which also included a belly-baring Hunter holding her and Edwards’s 2-year-old daughter, Frances Quinn.
When asked about the current state of her relationship with Edwards, Hunter reportedly replied, “We are co-parents and have a very loving relationship.”
In the nearly 10,000-word Q&A obtained by The Washington Post, Hunter dishes the dirt on her sex scandal with the former presidential contender, whose cancer-stricken wife Elizabeth left him over the affair.
Hunter says she’s still in love with “Johnny” and believes he loves her. She went on to say that his marriage was “toxic,” and that he feared “the wrath of Elizabeth.”
Hunter also confirms her first words to Edwards in their initial meeting were, “You’re so hot.” She claims he begged her to call him and that hours later, they met in his room.
According to People.com, GQ’s publisher, Conde Nast, claim they are trying to reach the photographer and have no comment until then.
