Like mother, like daughter!
Miley Cyrus wasn’t the only family member to have eyes for her boyfriend and “Last Song” co-star Liam Hemsworth.
“I don’t know who had a bigger crush on him at the beginning, my mom or me,” the 17-year-old singer-actress told “Entertainment Tonight.”
Cyrus, who first met the handsome Australian actor on the set of their upcoming Disney film, recently admitted they were an item.
“I was like, ‘No, maybe he’s just too pretty. I don’t want to be with someone who’s better looking than me,” the pop star said. “That’s, like, awkward.”
Cyrus’ mom, Tish, was an executive producer on the film – and apparently also a matchmaker who urged her daughter to date Hemsworth, 19.
“My mom was like, ‘No, he is cute – he is!’” Cyrus claimed.
According the movie’s director, Julie Anne Robinson, sparks flew between the co-stars on their first day of filming on the beach in Georgia.
Though their first lip lock wasn’t in the script, Robinson secretly told Cyrus to kiss her hunky co-star while they were filming a playful scene in the ocean.
“I could see the chemistry when I was watching the dailies, let’s put it that way,” Robinson told E! Online. “But I didn’t know much about what was going on in their private lives. But yeah, I could see the chemistry from the very first day of shooting.”
