Talk show host and author Dr. Phil is a grandfather after son Jay McGraw and his wife Erica welcomed a daughter Thursday night, the family tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Avery Elizabeth McGraw arrived at 11:33 p.m. in Los Angeles, weighing in at 6 lbs., 6 oz., and measuring 21 inches long.
“Both Avery and Erica are resting comfortably and doing well,” the McGraws said in a statement. “The entire family is overjoyed!”
Avery is the first child for Jay – executive producer of The Doctors – and Erica, who announced the pregnancy in Oct.
