Jamie Lynn Spears, the Nickelodeon star turned teenage mom, has split from the baby’s father, Casey Aldridge, a development that will shock only those who thought “For Keeps?” was a documentary.
Spears, 18, moved out of the Mississippi home she shared with Aldridge, whom she was engaged to but never married, about six weeks ago, People reports. She’s been living with mom Lynne, that parenting guru, and has reportedly been linked with a 28-year-old businessman from Hammond, La., named James Watson.
“She’s going through a lot of changes,” a Spears pal tells People. “It has been painful. She’s a young mother and struggling in a lot of areas.” A family friend says that Aldridge, who was seriously injured in a car wreck a year ago, never grew up. “I think she put up with more than she cared to put up with. She just got enough of it and was tired of the situation.”
