Charlie Sheen’s wife is starting to garner a reputation to equal her husband’s.
After a recent report that Brooke Mueller was arrested on a DUI charge in 1996 and for cocaine possession in 2001, RadarOnline.com now claims that Sheen’s wife also went to rehab for crack addiction.
Mueller, a former real estate investor, underwent in-patient treatment at Los Angeles’ Beit T’Shuvah in the early 2000s, a friend told the gossip site. The center reportedly combines Jewish spiritality and therapy to treat its patients.
“While in rehab she ended up in the hospital several times,” the source, who knew Mueller at the time, told RadarOnline.com. “She would leave rehab and go buy crack. There were times when she would disappear for a couple days and come back with bruises and a hospital bracelet on her wrist. She had a serious problem.”
Meanwhile, Sheen has gone to rehab twice for both alcohol and drugs. Over the holidays he was arrested on domestic violence charges after relapsing. Mueller called 911 on Christmas Day after Sheen reportedly pulled a knife on her during an alcohol-fueled argument.
The couple has since revealed that they plan to reconcile.
After being released from jail on a $8,500 bond, Sheen returned to California to shoot his CBS sitcom, “Two and a Half Men.”
Mueller will remain with the couple’s twins in Aspen, Colo. for at least a month, having passed social services’ muster.
Sheen is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 8.
