It’s all about the Benjamin for new parents Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen .
After 10 long days, the Brazilian supermodel and new mommy finally revealed the name of her son yesterday on her official Web site, giselebundchen.com.br.
“I want to thank you all with all my heart for the immense love I have received here on the Web site. It is a pleasure to receive messages from each one of you here,” Gi wrote.
“I am living a very special moment in my life. Benjamin is a blessing and I could not be happier.”
The new mom, who delivered the QB’s second son Dec. 8 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, also wished her devoted worldwide followers a merry Christmas and a 2010 with lots of light! She signed her merry missive, “Kisses, Gisele.”
Before Gi’s big baby news flash, her hubby was asked earlier yesterday at Gillette Stadium whether the 12s had finally settled on a handle for the little hunk. After all, it had been 10 days!
“That’s old news,” he said. “It will come out eventually.”
Brady reported on WEEI earlier this week that his wife had a boy’s name all picked out, but two days before the blessed event she changed her mind. Gabriel, according to international Web sites, was a front-runner.
Not that the Brady’s asked us, but Benjamin is soooo much better. More manly, don’t you think?
First there’s Benjamin Watson, who did Brady proud last week in the New England Patriots game against the Carolina Panthers when No. 12’s go-to guy Randy Moss checked out. And how about Ben Affleck, one of our favorite homeboys? Although, we pray Gisele didn’t adopt “Geeza” as her little guy’s middle name!
And lastly, there’s Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke, who just the other day was named Time maggie’s Person of the Year for keeping the economy from tanking any worse than it did.
Wethinks the cash-rich celebrity couple may appreciate a Benjamin like him!
