ER hunk John Stamos has helped the FBI to break up an alleged $680,000 blackmail plot.
Stamos teamed up with investigators to foil the email blot in which he was threatened with ‘damaging photos’ of him at a Florida house party.
Shortly after learning of the plot, Stamos got his lawyer to contact the FBI, according to US reports.
An undercover agent then posed as Stamos’ attorney and set up a meeting at a Michigan airport last Wednesday.
The sting operation ended up with the arrest of Allison Coss, 23, and Scott Sippola, 30.
A search of their home in Marquette, Michigan, turned up three photos of Stamos, paperwork with his name and phone number, and the number of three tabloid magazines.
No details of the photos were released in an FBI affidavit.
Stamos becomes the latest celebrity to be hit with blackmail plots, following in the footsteps of David Letterman, Cindy Crawford and Sarah Jessica Parker.
