Nicolas Cage has been slapped with his second lawsuit this month.
Red Curb Investments claims it lent the actor $3.5 million for a real estate deal in 2007 that hasn’t fully been paid back, TMZ reports.
The lawsuit alleges that Nic agreed to pay Red Curb back $29,166.67 a month, which includes 10% interest, and still owes the company more than $1.8 million. But they’re seeking a lot more than that.
Red Curb claims Cage committed fraud by not disclosing he was in debt to the IRS and that he needed the money to pay back taxes. So they’re suing for an addition $15 million.
Red Curb is also suing Samuel Levin, Cage’s former business partner, who the actor also happens to be suing – claiming Levin is the reason he’s broke.
“Any claim that our client engaged in any fraudulent conduct is ridiculous,” Cage’s lawyer, Marty Singer, told TMZ.
The Red Curb suit isn’t the only one Cage has to worry about. His ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son Weston, Christina Fulton, filed a $13 million suit against him Dec. 8, according to TMZ.
She makes a number of claims against him, including that Cage threw her out of house he told her he’d bought for her, and that he subjected her to “mental, physical and emotional abuse” during their relationship that ended 15 years ago.
“The lawsuit is an absurd claim,” Singer told TMZ. “All of these claims are long-time barred by the statute of limitations and are baseless.”
