The Windy City wacko who bombarded Ashanti’s mom with pictures of his private parts is going to do some hard time.
Devar Hurd is facing up to two years in jail after a Manhattan jury Tuesday night convicted him of sending sickening pictures and text messages to Tina Douglas, the mother and manager of the R&B sensation.
Hurd, 31, was convicted of stalking and aggravated harassment for his three-year campaign to romance Ashanti with vile messages and raunchy pictures that he insisted were “for the ladies.”
The aspiring singer and self-proclaimed CEO of a record label with no distribution was arrested in July for his relentless hounding of Douglas, who manages her daughter’s career.
He had obtained a number for Ashanti’s “momager” after hounding hip-hop bigwig with phonecalls in which he sang into his answering machine.
Hurd insisted in testimony last week that he had to meet the Long Island-born singer after briefly making eye contact with her at a 2003 Chicago concert.
After initially leaving long voicemails for Douglas, he then graduated to sending crude messages, and eventually, pictures of him pleasuring himself.
Hurd is expected to be sentenced Jan. 11
