Why does Alec Baldwin keep saying he wants to stop acting – especially when he’s having one of the best years of his career?
“I don’t have any interest in acting anymore,” says Baldwin in the December issue of Men’s Journal. At 51, he points out, “I’m not young, but I have time to do something else.”
He told Playboy Magazine he was “done” with his career in 2012 and would retire at 30 Rock‘s wrap party. As for the big screen, he says, “The goal of movie-making is to star in a film where your performance drives the film, and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that.”
Maybe that will change with his new Meryl Streep film, It’s Complicated.
