This is definitely not Carrie Bradshaw talking.

“I love the smell of diapers. I even like them when they’re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good.”

Nope, that’s middle-aged mom Sarah Jessica Parker waxing unpoetically about her new twins, Loretta and Tabitha.

The infants arrived June 22 via a surrogate and the former “Sex and the City” vixen is no longer all about the Manolos.

“I love the smell of Balmex,” Parker enthused in an interview with Elle magazine, where she’s the December cover gal.

“Tabitha makes this noise when she eats, like, ‘Mmmm. This is the best milk I’ve ever had!’” Parker told the magazine.

Parker and hubby, Matthew Broderick, already had 7-year-old son, James Wilkie, when the twins showed up at their Manhattan townhouse.

James Wilkie insisted they put the name Marion on Loretta’s birth certificate - and they did.

“We thought, ‘Are we crazy?’” the 44-year-old actress said. “Do we let our son name one of the girls? Is that the right thing to do? Is it important for him? And then he goes, ‘And I want it legal.’”

In between diaper changes, Parker is promoting her new romantic comedy with Hugh Grant, “Did You Hear About the Morgans.” She plays a New York City wife who stumbles on a slaying and has to relocate to Wyoming with her husband.

In real life, she’s nicely settled into the role of ever-worried mom.

“First of all, I have a fear that they’re not going to like me,” she told Elle.

And then there’s the fate of Carrie’s wardrobe.

“The only tragedy,” she said, “would be if their feet are bigger than mine.”
