Chef Gordon Ramsay is a hot-headed tough guy on “Hell’s Kitchen,” but he’s not above a little vanity.
Ramsay revealed that he had the lines on his chin filled in, after heeding some advice from buddy Simon Cowell on keeping up appearances after making it big in the States.
“My mother said they were smile lines,” Ramsay told the UKs Radio Times magazine. “I could deal with that at 21, but not 42.”
He added, “Simon Cowell suggested that now I am a success in America, I should do something, so I had filler put under the deep crevices and it hurt.”
The procedure to fill each crease can reportedly cost up to $650, and experts say that Ramsay would need to undergo two to three injections a year to maintain his smoother chin, according to the Daily Mail.
Ramsay’s spokesperson initially denied rumors that the fiery chef had plastic surgery saying, “Gordon would be the first person to mercilessly take the p*** out of anyone that has had surgery.”
