If you thought Jay Leno and Julia Louis Dreyfus were just goofing off on The Jay Leno Show recently when the former Seinfeld star donned a “Watch CBS” sign on her bottom, think again.
Producers at The Jay Leno Show are finding it immensely difficult to book guests on NBC’s prime time talk show experiment.
But why?
Many believe that much of Hollywood – while still enamored of Jay Leno – wants The Jay Leno Show to fail… miserably… and swiftly.
Networks and actors simply don’t want talk shows treading in prime time territory and, as a result, CBS, ABC, and Fox have reportedly begun restricting their screen talent from appearing on The Jay Leno Show.
If you’ve noticed that Jay Leno’s guest line up occasionally throws a real dud into the mix, you’re not alone.
Sometimes the show’s producers simply can’t get an A-list name to visit The Jay Leno Show.
If the program is already struggling in the ratings, how long can it last in the absence of consistent star power?
NBC is struggling to figure that out as we speak.
