This is the moment Brad Pitt angrily confronted a paparazzo seconds after being thrown from his custom motorbike in downtown Los Angeles.
Pitt was weaving through busy traffic when the eager photographer drove his Toyota Camry too close to the star.
Pitt lost his balance while swerving to avoid the photographer’s car and clipped the wing mirror of a parked vehicle.
One thing is certain, though: Brad ended up on the floor while his bike ended up on the back of a truck, too mangled to ride home.
But onlookers said the Inglourious Basterds and Ocean’s 13 star, who was wearing a gold crash helmet, simply picked himself up and pulled his damaged bike to the side of the road.
He swapped insurance details with the driver whose car he clipped before trying to start his bike again – and discovering it was in no fit state for the journey back to the ranch he shares with Angelina Jolie and their six children.
The 46-year-old actor had to wait in a building by the side of the road for his assistant to arrive with the pick-up truck.
Pitt, whose obsession with motorbikes has seen him build a massive collection including a a Ducati Desmosedici RR and a Monster 696, then travelled home in a saloon car.
There was a silver lining to the unlucky episode: at least the bike damaged yesterday is not the gleaming beast the Pitt household took delivery of last week.
The heartthrob splashed out on a gold and polished chrome bike to add to his already vast selection of choppers.
He has previously revealed he uses bikes to escape the glare of the media’s lenses as they allow him to slip into the crowd.
Brandishing a motorcycle helmet, he told a reporter at W magazine: ‘This is my anonymity. With it, I’m just another a***hole on the streets.’
Although Brad is regularly spotted out and about on one of his metal steeds, wife Angelina has yet to be seen on a bike.
She has never complained about his ever-expanding range of petrol-guzzling two wheelers, despite getting into other scrapes such as breaking down after filling his bike with the wrong fuel.
And she will no doubt be relieved Brad escaped so lightly from this altercation with the paparazzi.
Brad was snapped having lunch in LA without Angelina last week, who is reportedly being lined up for Ridley Scott’s new film about the Gucci fashion empire.
The Gladiator director is keen for Angelina to play Patrizia Reggiani, the woman jailed for ordering the 1995 killing of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci.
