Don’t rob Lindsay Lohan if you don’t want to get caught on security cameras. Police are on the hunt for three hooligans, caught by surveillance cameras, breaking into Lohan’s Hollywood Hills home early Sunday morning. Which goes to show you that even if you know that Lindsay is too careless to lock her doors, it doesn’t mean you should break in.

The surveillance video shows two guys and a girl knocking on Lindsay Lohan‘s door at around 1:30 am. All three suspects are believed to be between the ages of 18-25. Obviously. Most likely they’re leeches that Linds previously would have referred to as “friends.” The girl’s not great at picking a trustworthy crowd.

A statement from the LAPD stated, “Detectives believe that the trio gained entry to the home through an unlocked door, then ransacked it and took the victim’s property.”

Dina Lohan has already detailed the scene for People magazine explaining to the tabloid, “The safe was ripped out of the wall and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed. Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken, too. Thank God she wasn’t home.” Although judging from the skinny hipsters shown in the surveillance video, it’s doubtful it would have been a very terrifying scene for Lindsay had she been home…just a significantly less profitable one for these three thieving goons.

Lindsay Lohan tweeted a message that clearly indicated she was sure she knew the robbers. Wrote Lindsay, “That’s how I know it was not a ROBBERY. electronics weren’t taken … just things that a certain old friend knew meant a lot to me.”

Of course, it’s already being speculated that Lindsay had personal videos and photographs stolen from her that would prove very embarrassing for the star were they ever to be leaked. We hope it’s not true and that they aren’t. A girl can only be involved in so many scandals before she stops being the fun kind of train wreck, and becomes the kind that makes your head hurt.
