Miley Cyrus will play the role of a teenage fairy in a new fantasy film, Wings, based on a novel of the same name by Aprilynne Pike. Disney acquired the film rights shortly after the book was published in May. The film will be produced by Temple Hill (the company behind Twilight). Cyrus’ mother, Tish Cyrus, will serve as executive producer. Miley Cyrus is currently filming her next movie, an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ The Last Song, near Savannah, Ga.
