Months of denying rumors of an affair with former Lifetime movie co-star LeAnn Rimes have finally caught up to Eddie Cibrian.
The actor’s wife, model Brandi Glanville, has left him, Us Weekly reports.
“Eddie and I have decided to take some time apart,” Glanville told the magazine. “I want to do what is best for our children. Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other.”
The 36-year-old actor’s alleged affair with Rimes, 26, was exposed after the magazine reported on the couple’s secret dinner dates and hotel trysts in March.
Despite the media circus that followed, the couple was carelessly seen together when they were at a bar together in the Staples Center during a Lakers semi-finals game in May.
Last month, Glanville accused Rimes of stalking her husband.
“She refuses to leave us alone – it is shameful and scary,” Glanville said. “People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance.”
Sadly for Glanville, the dance hasn’t ended.
Although Glanville stuck by her husband of eight years, the final straw came after Cibrian and his country crooner mistress were caught yet again in the early afternoon of July 17 – four months after their affair was exposed – outside the home of Jeff Berger, a longtime friend of the singer and her husband, Dean Sheremet.
Rimes’ friend has reportedly been the host to multiple rendezvous at his Malibu home for about a month. Berger denies he has been enabling an affair.
Earlier this month, Cibrian was accused of having another affair with 24-year-old model Scheana Marie Jancan.
The future of Rimes’ 7-year marriage to her dancer husband remains unknown, however the union between Cibrian and Glanville – who have two sons, Mason, 6, and Jake, 2 – has come to a sad ending.
