The Californian woman who gave birth to octuplets this year has signed a deal to star in a reality TV series.
Nadya Suleman, dubbed “Octo-Mom” by the media, has agreed to be filmed for a proposed television show by production company Eyeworks.
Her lawyer said it would be “less intrusive” than other reality shows.
Film crews will not follow Suleman and her children 24 hours a day but will document certain milestones, such as birthdays and special events.
The show has yet to be sold to a US network, Suleman’s legal representative Jeff Czech told the Associated Press.
In vitro
Suleman made headlines around the world when her octuplets – six boys and two girls – were delivered by Caesarean section.
It later emerged that Suleman already had six young children and had conceived her babies through in vitro fertilisation.
The show will be based a series made by Eyeworks in Denmark that documents the lives of four children from the day they were born until they become adults.
Mr Czech said Suleman had liked the idea “because she’ll get to use a camera and do some of the filming herself”.
