Actress Penelope Cruz had to miss a promotional event for her upcoming musical Nine because of a bout of food poisoning.
Those of us who have experienced food poisoning at one time or another, are very much aware of some of the nasty side effects that can be brought about.
The actress is currently in France at the Cannes Film Festival, where she was to present the trailer of the upcoming musical Nine.
She was slated to join Harvey Weinstein in presenting the trailer, but was too sick to make an appearance.
“Tomorrow night is her premiere for her movie. She is getting better and is seeing a doctor right now,” said the mogul.
Other big name actors to appear in Nine include Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman and Daniel Day-Lewis.
The trailer for Nine is already out in the U.S. and the movie will be released this coming November.
Cruz is also spending time promoting her upcoming movie, Broken Embraces.
