
The squad behind the multiple Oscar-winner film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ declared in London on Thursday funding of £500,000 to ‘Plan India’, which is a child-centered growth society.
Plan India has been working to develop the lives of kids for the last 30 years.
This donated amount will back up Plan India’s programme in a slum area situated in central Mumbai.
The programme revolves around early childhood care, education, physical condition, water & hygiene and child safety.
Through this help, Plan desires to reach straightly to 2,000 households and 5,000 kids.
The cast and team of Slumdog Millionaire got connected with Plan when Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor gave his fees from the movie to back up the prevention of exploitation and cruelty of India’s most susceptible kids.
They were also part of unique charity dinner and art public sale hosted by Anil Kapoor where top business chief executive officers, diplomatists, political leaders, designers and well-known VIPs in their personal fields joined to guarantee their support for Plan’s work.
