Sex and the City the movie is due for a sequel after last year’s chick flick hit got us bored. A rep for New Line has confirmed to The Associated Press that Sex and the City: The Movie stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall, and Kristin Davis have signed contracts for a follow-up and they will begin shooting this summer in order to hit theaters in the Summer of 2010.

It has been a lot a fuss around the premiere of the first movie of the famous HBO series, and it is true that in its first weekend alone, Sex and the City opened with almost $58 million in ticket sales, reportedly making it the biggest R-rated comedy opener ever. But take me for example, I’ve watched the series and I though the movie was a mistake, I though it so bad that I couldn’t to see the whole movie.

I’m very excited to work with these amazing actresses again, and would love to give everyone more information about the sequel… but I’m busy with my Sex life.
