According to recent reports, the Broadway star Katie Holmes will replace Vanessa Paradis as the face of Miu Miu in the brand’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2009 advertising campaign. The 29-year-old happy mother and wife will follow in the footsteps of celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Kirsten Dunst, and Lindsay Lohan, who have been celebrity spokesmodels for the Miu Miu fashion house.

If you were curious to know, Miu Miu was the nickname of designer Miuccia Prada when she was a young girl. It seems like Katie got a lot a free time on her hands and I have to say is admirable that she is being productive after a long motherhood break.

Katie is soon going to start shooting the photographs for the spring 2009 campaign. She will be posing alongside real models, who will be positioned as ‘accessories’ in the campaign. It’s quite edgy and very different for Katie.
