Although Jay-Z was solo at the U.N.A. Global Leadership Awards Gala in New York where he received an award for bringing clean water to the children in Africa, the mogul expressed his wish of having kids someday (soon, I think). When asked if working with kids made him long for his own he happily replied: “Most people I guess dream of having a family some day, so I’m just a regular American boy”

Jay-Z has spent several weeks touring the continent and he’s been focusing on his humanitarian work, making sure that more and more kids have access to clean water.

Many charities, you close your eyes and cross your fingers and hope that the money gets to the people who really deserve it. But with this, I got to go to Africa, see the water pumps. I got to see the kids turn them on.
