According to recent reports, the Emmy-winning talk show hostess Ellen DeGeneres is hoping that the Queen of Talk Oprah will officiate her wedding ceremony. Ellen’s wedding with longtime lover Porti de Rossi will be held in California this fall. As a recall Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey know each other since 1997 when they starred on the landmark “Coming Out” episode of the comeidienne’s ABC sitcom.
Meanwhile, the actress Portia de Rossi will legally change her name to Portia DeGeneres when she weds popular daytime comedienne Ellen DeGeneres in California this October.
Oprah is definitely invited to the wedding, but Ellen wants her to play a bigger role. Ellen wants her to be the minister.
