Matt Damon, the 37-year-old Hollywood star, has become a father for the second time, as his wife Luciana, 32, gave birth to a healthy baby girl yesterday, August 20^th 2008. The proud parents already decided on a rather eccentric, but beautiful name: Gia Zavala. 

The couple has been dating for 5 years, ever since they met at the Miami bar where Luciana was working, while Matt Damon was filming the movie “Stuck On You”.  They got married in 2005 and are currently raising their first daughter, Isabella, who is two years old, as well as Luciana’s 10-year-old daughter, Alexia, from a previous relationship. So Damon is surrounded by women, but he jokes about it: “I’m so outnumbered down here, it’s crazy.”

Damon has decided to take a career break to spend quality time with his family . This year, he was voted People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” and shared the Oscar for best screenplay writing with co-star Ben Affleck in 1997′s “Good Will Hunting”, so his break is a well deserved one.

I’m taking the rest of the year off. I’m just hanging out with my family. ( … ) Luciana asked me to take a break from work. She saw a pile of scripts, and when I told her they were the movies I was supposed to shoot in the fall, she asked me if I still wanted to be her husband.
