The pop diva Madonna attended the Fourth Annual Traverse City Film Festival on Saturday evening (August 2). The 49-year-old Celebrity mother brought daughter Lourdes Leon along for the cinema celebration. It seems the event will help her create the documentary “I Am Because We Are,” which is about orphans in Malawi.
I don’t get here enough. It’s great to be bringing my movie to a place that feels familiar. Not like the Cannes Film Festival, where nobody’s speaking English, or the Tribeca Film Festival, where no one sits down. “There’s something poetic about coming back to the place where I used to come for holidays – camping trips with my dad and stepmother and my very large family.
