L’Oreal denied that R&B superstar Beyonce Knowles’ skin was digitally changed in an advertising campaign for hair color. The 26-year-old Celebrity Beyonce – who signed on with the company as a spokesmodel in 2006 – is featured in an advertisement for L’Oreal Paris in the September (08) edition of U.S. women’s fashion magazine Elle.
The cosmetic giant said they received numerous online criticisms when Feria, their hair coloring product, released a new print ad, featuring Beyonce in a noticeably lighter skin tone, which made them release a statement to deny the claims that the cosmetic brand L’Oreal, photoshopped Beyonce’s photo for the ad and made her skin paler.
Beyonce Knowles has been a spokesperson for the L’Oreal Paris brand since 2001. We highly value our relationship with Ms. Knowles. It is categorically untrue that L’Oreal Oaris altered Ms. Knowles’ features or skin tone in the campaign for Feria’s hair color.
