According to recent reports, Celine Dion was honored with the title of doctor after receiving an honorary degree from a Canadian university. The University Laval acknowledged the star ‘s personal and professional achievements  on Thursday, August  21.

Speaking at the award ceremony at the Palais Montcalm, Celine Dion mentioned is “a very great honor for a little girl from Charlemagne.” The 40-year-old singer was born in Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada and never finished high school. Now she recommends students not to walk away from education, but also added that “the school of life is also very important.”

If there is something that has guided my life, it’s my wish to excel and go farther, to the maximum of my abilities, to the top of my goals, my hopes and my dreams.
