ABC television channel plans to present a small screen adaptation of Jennifer Lopez’s 2002 movie Maid In Manhattan in which she will have “an integral part of the pilot and series” as an executive producer. The film follows the story of Maris Ventura, a single mother – which is Jennifer Lopez’s character – who works as a housekeeper in a Manhattan hotel, where she falls in love with a wealthy politician guest.
The show is a different maid in a different Manhattan. While the hotel’s clientele is an obvious part of this world, I’m more interested in the downstairs part of Upstairs, Downstairs.
