According to recent reports, Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves – who have been dating for two years – welcomed their first child, a son, on Monday afternoon in Los Angeles. The actor’s rep has announced that the still-unnamed baby was born at 6.22 p.m. weighing in at 7 lb., 4 oz. In same day (July 7th) Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban welcomed their new daughter Sunday Rose.

A healthy baby boy was born. Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world — Having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure — raising one, together.
