i am so sick of people comparing janet to mariah or beyonce or other female vocalists. She is NOT a vocalist she is a dance artist. Having said that, when janet was on top it was because of her catchy tunes and her great vids. Now its not so new anymore. NEXT!!!

Janet Jackson is still an amazing performer, and I persoanlly can’t wait to see her live on stage in the Rock Witchu tour.

I love Janet & all… but her musical career is as dry as a bone now. This is a woman who used to sell 10 million copies every album, damn-near, and now is lucky to break a million. This is now a person who hasn’t gone multi-platinum in 7 years & we got a bunch of net bloggers still pretending she’s musically still relevant. It’s hypocritical.

If Beyonce were to have ONE album not sell as well as expected, some of you would be saying “She’s washed up, she needs to go sit down because she flopped.” Yet Janet can spend 7 years, dropping album after album & barely even hit a million, and no one wants to say she flopped. That’s a double standard. It’s OK to say we love her AND that she flopped. Doesn’t have to be an either-or.
