Mariah Carey turned the lights of New York City’s Empire State Building this weekend and the tower is shinning lavender, pink and white in honor of her new album “E=MC2″. The city is honoring the native New Yorker by lighting up the Empire State building with her favorite colors in honor of her album E=MC2 which is topping the billboard charts.
SoundScan reports the album sold 463,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week in stores - making it the Celebrity singer the biggest sales week ever. As a gratitude gesture Mariah Carey treated New Yorkers with a free live concert on ‘Good Morning America.’
