Kylie as a Geisha? That is a little weird new image.. I don’t know why she opted for a red kimono to promote her forthcoming world tour. Kylie Minogue decided to dress as a Geisha in promotional shots for her upcoming summer tour, KylieX2008.
It’s Kylie’s first tour since battling breast cancer which will kick off in Paris, France on May 6th and will end in London on August 4, where she will play the last of seven nights at the 02 Arena.
The KylieX2008 tour will include stops in Greece, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Luxembourg, Russia, Latvia, and Spain and has cost £10 million to stage, and is the biggest and most expensive show that Kylie Minogue has produced.

It is not Ms Minogue’s first tour since her illness, as she continued with her “Showgirl Tour”, which was postponed as a result of finding out about the cancer in the middle of the tour, when her health returned. I know because I attended the concert in her hometown of Melbourne and it was great entertainment. With regards to the Geisha shot, Kylie has been making some unusual publicity decisions lately. For someone who has been able to publicize herself and read her fanbase so effectively for 20 years, she seems to be losing her touch. Her foray into America recently was a disaster. Maybe she has stuck with the “pop princess” image for too long. I can’t see this unusual Geisha photo doing anything for her. You can’t even recognize who it is!
