According to recent reports, the new Celebrity mother Jennifer Lopez wants Tom Cruise to be godfather to her newborn twins. Jennifer and Marc Anthony’s twins, son Max and daughter Emme were born on February 22. It seems the Jennifer Lopez had to convince husband Marc Anthony to give Tom Cruise the role of godfather for their twins; the only problem in this decision was their differences in religious beliefs.

The Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is a devout follower of Scientology while the Celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are Catholic. Meanwhile, it seems Tom Cruise has already took the godfather role as he reportedly spent around $200,000 on designer christening outfits for Max and Emme, ordered a giant fish tank for their nursery and gave them complete Disney DVD box sets.

Tom is delighted. Marc wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to have a Scientologist as the kids’ godfather, especially as he and Jennifer are both Catholic. But in the end Jennifer managed to convince him to agree.
