
British soul singer Amy Winehouse and hip-hop star Kanye West were top winners of this year’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night. Amy Winehouse grabbed trophies for record of the year, song of the year and best new artist, while putting on a moving performance via satellite from London.

Meanwhile, in one of the night’s most anticipated performances, Kanye West paid an emotional tribute to his late mother Donda West, performing his hit song ‘Hey Mama’ and won rap album of the year.
Meanwhile, Alicia Keys was honored for Best Female R&B Performance and Rihanna picked up the award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her pop hit with Jay Z, Umbrella.
