The Celebrity singer Shakira reportedly turned down a starring role in the movie “Love in the Time of Cholera” because it would’ve required some on-screen nudity. The pop sensation has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her soundtrack for the Mike Newell film – and she reveals Gabriel Garcia Marquez, who wrote the original book, wanted her to act in it as well. Unlike other celebrities, the 30-year-old pop singer was scared a nude scene would anger her parents but she is obviously not the type of girl to take off her cloths on screen.
There was nudity involved, so I said no. My parents wouldn’t like it at all. So I said thank you, but no thank you.
